Participants in this workshop tour Dominican-born artist Firelei Báez’s intricate paintings and large-scale drawings on paper exploring black culture, Afro-Caribbean folklore, and the complexities of diasporic experiences in Bloodlines. Learn various printmaking methods that can be used in the classroom to create portraits in Báez’s style, using patterning, texture, and symbolism to tell a story. Tickets include museum admission, materials, and a private tour of Firelei Báez: Bloodlines.

Teachers in attendance may receive Act 48 credit hours and information about school partnership opportunities.
