Friday, December 6, 2013, 7 – 10 p.m.
In memory of Lou Reed, songwriter, poet and collaborator of Andy Warhol, join us for a special sneak preview listening event celebrating the release of the 45th anniversary edition of White Light/White Heat before its public release on December 10. This seminal album, the cover of which was designed by Warhol, was The Velvet Underground’s second release and the last record to feature the band’s co-founder and original bassist-organist and viola player John Cale. The 45th anniversary edition album, which has been completely remastered and featuring new bonus tracks, will be played in its entirety. Warhol films featuring The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed will be screened in the theater.
A limited number of advance copies will be available for sale in The Warhol Store.
Please note: this event is FREE and open to the public.
