Join us in the intimate Warhol theater for an evening of high-energy live music featuring three of Pittsburgh’s young garage-pop bands; Meeting of Important People, Neighbors and New Shouts. The evening will take the form of a revue-style show in the vein of an early rock n’ roll theater concert, taking inspiration from sixties Motown revuesor the popular 1964 rock and R& B concert film, T.A.M.I. Show, with each group trading a series of short electric sets and a swingin’ guest MC to tie it all together.
Meeting of Important People.
The Host Band for the evening, MOIP returns to the Warhol following their sold-out summertime EP release show for their latest disc, “Quit Music!” The well-known Pittsburgh three-piece garage-pop band keeps the loud parts loud, the pretty parts pretty, and will be featuring new numbers from their forthcoming 2nd full-length album.
Neighbors
Neighbors plays pop- and soul-infused rock music. The Pittsburgh four-piece draws from influences ranging from ’60s Motown material to ’90s power pop.
New Shouts
Veterans of some of Pittsburgh’s most legendary soul-inspired groups, New Shouts come to bring you tunes drenched in a Phil Spector-esque big reverb and then hung out to dry in the summer sun.
Parking for this event is complimentary at The Warhol
