The Warhol welcomes back the incomparable writer and director, John Waters, to the opulent Carnegie Music Hall, with an all-new version of  his solo stand-up performance, This Filthy World.  As a call to arms to ““filth followers” everywhere, Waters’ joyously devious monoluge celebrates the film career and obsessional tastes of the man William Burroughs once called “The Pope of Trash” with topics ranging from his early negative artistic influences and his fascination with true crime, to exploitation films, fashion lunacy, and the extremes of the contemporary art world.

John Waters’ performance is presented in connection with The Warhol’s exhibition, Regarding Warhol, 60 Artists, Fifty Years, for which Waters narrated the audio guide for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
