Venerable Shih Ying-Fa, Abbot of CloudWater Zendo and Ksanti Sangha's Teacher
As part of The Word of God, The Warhol is presenting an ongoing series of public dialogues and gallery talks by various scholars, community activists, artists and religious leaders. The goals of these programs are to provide context for the artist’s work and to spark dialogue about the issues raised in each exhibition. During Max Gimblitt’s exhibition, visitors will be able to take part in a meditation led by Buddhist Masters and students from various sects of Buddhism. There will be a short discussion after the meditation.
The Ven. Shih Ying-Fa will lead a traditional meditation based on the practice of traditional meditative arts and the study of Buddhist and Taoist teaching and Pure Land Buddhism.
This event is in conjunction with The Word of God Series.
