As part of The Word of God, The Warhol is presenting an ongoing series of public dialogues and gallery talks by various scholars, community activists, artists and religious leaders. The goals of these programs are to provide context for the artist’s work and to spark dialogue about the issues raised in each exhibition. On May 22, 2011, Dr. Alison Downie, adjunct faculty in Religious Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Wanda Guthrie will present Women, Torah Law, and our Post Modern Response to Divine Grace. Exploring the divine-human encounter and women’s long history of proclaiming justice, relationship, healing and prophesy.
The gallery talk will begin in the fourth floor gallery.
